The Herefordshire countryside around Trippenkennett Farm offers a range of activities and experiences that suit every taste, age group and energy level. You can go for heart-pumping adventure, gentle exploration or mix it up and do a bit of everything and make the most of your time in the area.
If you are looking for action and adventure the Viking Games, which is run by friends of ours, provides fantastic family entertainment that combines history and fun. They also run Paintballing and Laserclays experiences at Battlelands for a more competitive adventure. The Forest of Dean is a great place to explore and great for all the family. Yat Rock is a great place for walking and offers views across the Wye Valley. Puzzle Wood will entertain the whole family while Go Ape provides treetop adventures that will test courage and agility.
For cycling enthusiasts there are many family cycling trails and more challenging mountain biking routes that cater to a range of abilities. There are bike hire services so that everyone can join in on the fun. For a vertical challenge the Boulder Barn has excellent indoor rock climbing facilities while the limestone cliffs at Symonds Yat offer outdoor climbing experiences.
If you fancy doing something different you can try your hand at traditional craftsmanship at the Old Field Forge which is just up the road. You can spend a day learning the art of blacksmithing and create your own metal masterpieces under expert guidance.

There are plenty of fishing opportunities in the local area. You can try angling at the River Wye or take part in coarse fishing right here on our farm where guests enjoy half-price fishing when staying on site or in our Wain House accommodation.
